New Watercolors
I am fortunate to live in a beautiful part of California. I enjoy sketching and painting outdoors with friends and fellow painters. Watercolors outdoors are always challenging with changing light and weather conditions. The immediacy and beauty always draw me back to the challenge. I hope to have captured something from the scene to inspire others.

Watercolors... Timeless Pacific Grove
" Timeless Pacific Grove" are small-size original watercolors in an ongoing series which are painted on paper, inspired by the charming community of Victorian buildings situated on Monterey Bay. They are exclusively available in the "Artisana Gallery" 6121 Lighthouse Avenue in downtown Pacific Grove CA.
Drawings
I am often asked about my choices of drawing mediums:
Conte' Crayon is a drawing medium composed of compressed powdered graphite or charcoal mixed with was or clay base, square & rectangular in form. Invented in France in 1795. Manufactured using natural pigments, common colors are black, white, sanguine, bistre and gray. "This is a favorite drawing medium of mine."
Pencil and powdered graphite are another favorite. I usually choose a soft paper such as one typically used by printmakers for maximizing the detail and shadows.
